We will really miss you, councilor
Councilor Pauline Picken has past away. Mrs Picken served as a councilor for more than 10 years, since she first started her political career in 1991, at firstrepresenting the Ketley Bank ward on Wrekin District Council and, after that, Telford & Wrekin Council achieving unitary status, the Ketley ward. She was the current Deputy Leader of the Council and wasan important councilor on housing issues.
She was also a member of both Lawley & Overdale and Ketley Parish Councils. She had been as well the chair of the Wrekin Housing Group.
The Mayor of Telford& Wrekin Councilor, Karen Blundell, said: “Pauline was a very valued colleague who worked tirelessly for the good of the people of her ward and the wider borough and is a great loss to Telford andWrekin.”

Archaeological treasure’ stolen from Ludlow property
During this weekend, there was a robbery at 7 Mill Street, Ludlow and a piece of panelling has been stolen from a fireplace. The policeare investigating the case.
Next, there is the description of the panel stolen produced in the property, given by the workers of John Needham Associates.
“Over the corner fireplace, the wall iscovered by two sections of re-set panelling. The panelling is two panels high and all but one of these is carved with lozenges or diamonds containing a flower motif. In each corner of the panel is adesign of concentric circles. On to one panel is scratch ‘SB 1751’, ‘WB’ and the letter ‘V’.
The central panel, located in the row that is below, is unique. The central carving has the image of the faceof Christ that is surrounded by a necklace of rosary beads and sits against the cross, which is surrounded by the symbols of the Passion; the cock being one of the standard symbols.”
